With this news, strengthen those who have weak knees. Say to those with fearful hearts, Be strong & do not fear, for your God is coming to destroy your enemies. He is coming to save you.” Isaiah 35:3-4

I love getting together with friends and sharing with each other over a cup of coffee what God is doing in our lives, it boosts my faith and lifts my heart. That's the aim of this blog. There's a story behind it; It was inspired after a friend gave me a single mustard seed, saying ‘that’s all it takes Jill’. What my friend didn’t know was that the very same morning God had reminded me of a promise He'd made to me over 20 years before regarding writing. I took the mustard seed home, planted it and watched it grow from a tiny sapling to a large, flourishing shrub at our front door. Every time I look at it it reminds me that our God is always true to his promises.
Jesus lives in and works through his people, every single day. It's good to share what he's doing! I love talking about Him and writing about Him.
“How kind the Lord is!” she exclaimed. “He has taken away my disgrace of having no children.” Luke 1:25 Also see: Luke 1:6-25 Elizabeth’s Plight Elizabeth was childless after many years of marriage. While it could be easy enough for us to empathise with her plight, it’s perhaps a little harder in Western culture to […]
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. Romans 8:37 In a way it would be wonderful enough, when facing a particularly difficult struggle to read that through Christ you are a conqueror; but Romans 8:37 tells us that we are more than conquerors! Whatever comes against you […]

Sometimes I like to post the passage of scripture I have been meditating on in a particular week, and resist the urge to write a blog post, but let it simply speak for itself: Psalm 32:1-11 (NLT) “Oh, what joy for those whose disobedience is forgiven, whose sin is put […]
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5-6 This is such an encouraging Proverb. And, with good reason, probably the most frequently quoted and preached-from. There are several lessons for life contained […]
“Sing to him a new song; play skillfully on the strings, with loud shouts.” (Psalm 33:3) The psalm opens with a call to praise God; to sing a “new song” to him. Those words ‘new song’ could be a little bit confusing to someone who doesn’t consider themselves to be particularly musical. But the psalmist […]
Our hearts, are a little bit like campfires. We all have times when we burn furiously and brightly, then, left untended our hearts begin to cool; ‘dampen’ I think is the correct term, until we become ashy and needy for God’s Spirit to breathe on us again. One of the ways — actually the primary […]
