Do you feel overwhelmed today? Then this reminder is for you:
“For I, the Lord your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, “Fear not,
Isaiah 41:13
I am the one who helps you.”
Our road was resurfaced a few weeks ago. This hardy little dandelion (photo) has managed to break right through all that thick, hardened tarmac that had been dumped all over the top of it.

Colossians 2:6-7 NIVUK
The first thought that sprung to mind was that the Lord lovingly sustains and cares for every living thing. How much more then, His child?
The reason the dandelion was able to break through was because, in spite of what was happening all around her, her roots are imbedded in the soil, deep under the road surface, and she is continually nourished by that soil.
Sometimes we can feel overwhelmed; buried even, by our circumstances. But when we are deeply rooted in the only One who can sustain us, we will always overcome.
“No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Romans 8:37-39
