Tunnel Vision

TUNNEL VISION = VISION IN THE TUNNEL
There’s a phrase most of us have used at some time or other, when we mean to encourage someone going through a difficult time. It goes something like this: “you’ll be alright, there’s always a light at the end of the tunnel.” It’s meant as a comfort, to say that more peaceful times are ahead.
While there’s nothing technically wrong with this phrase, and in many ways it’s true that there will be light at the end of every tunnel, the truth is, we don’t have to wait until we get to the end of the tunnel to find light, comfort and peace; Our Father God is our light IN the tunnel.

Through every hard or dark time we go through, any time of uncertainty, testing or trial, God doesn’t leave us to stumble through on our own; His Word will always be our light, His presence our comfort, His Spirit, our strength.
Psalm 27:1
“The Lord is my light and my salvation— so why should I be afraid? The Lord is my fortress, protecting me from danger, so why should I tremble?”

“And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:20b)

Whatever ’tunnel’ you might find yourself in today, immerse yourself in the only real source of light, comfort, guidance, discipline, healing, and life – the living Word of God. THIS is how we get through.
