“You hem me in, behind and before, and lay your hand upon me.” Psalm 139:5
I love these sweet little lambs. Apologies for the slight fuzziness of the photos, but they were taken from quite a distance away. That’s because the sheep have the good sense to keep well away from anyone who is not their shepherd, unlike many other of the farm animals around here, who’ll come right up to the fence and eat grass out of your hand. Here’s a thought…
We have a Shepherd; THE Good Shepherd, who cares for us, tends to us & feeds us.
What kind of sheep are you and I? Are we the kind that listen only to the Shepherd – ones who feed only on what He gives, and keep well away from any fake shepherd or bringer of so called sustenance?
Those little lambs are hemmed into that field for a reason: Their safety. They have all they need to sustain them in that field. The Lord our Shepherd hems us in too. (Psalm 139:5) We have everything we need in Him and we have no need to seek sustenances anywhere else.

Good evening, Jill. This is a comforting Scripture, especially since we are for the most part shut in these days. Thank you. May God bless you, Julie
