True Peace

I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.  John 16:33

Are you facing a storm today?  I would like to remind you of something:

Jesus promises us a place of peace, right in the midst of life’s storms.

Let this great truth grasp hold of you again today. Think about it and allow it to make the journey from your head to your heart. He promises to give you peace.

You can overcome because Jesus overcame and if you are a believer then He lives in you. You can have confidence to stand strong because God is with you.

When you know what’s in God’s heart towards you, don’t have to concern yourself with what you think is in another’s heart towards you. You don’t have to fear life’s trials.

If you’re in a storm today, don’t look at the size of the waves – rather, fix your eyes on the One who’s voice the waves obey.

I love getting together with friends and sharing with each other over a cup of coffee what God is doing in our lives, it boosts my faith and lifts my heart. That's the aim of this blog. There's a story behind it; It was inspired after a friend gave me a single mustard seed, saying ‘that’s all it takes Jill’. What my friend didn’t know was that the very same morning God had reminded me of a promise He'd made to me over 20 years before regarding writing. I took the mustard seed home, planted it and watched it grow from a tiny sapling to a large, flourishing shrub at our front door. Every time I look at it it reminds me that our God is always true to his promises. Jesus lives in and works through his people, every single day. It's good to share what he's doing! I love talking about Him and writing about Him.

    1. Love that verse ““Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.” John‬ ‭14:27‬ ‭- and the verses before…. the promised Holy Spirit, our Helper. ❤️
