God Always Has Time For You!

We live in a very busy, sometimes noisy world. A typical day for many of us is filled with people or tasks clamouring for our attention. Getting another’s full attention is not as easy as it might sound is it? Let’s be honest, how often do we really give our friends and loved ones our absolute, undivided attention?

You Never Listen To Me!
We often hear the sentence “he never listens to me”, spoken by the disgruntled wife.
But actually, if I’m honest, I sometimes don’t listen properly to my husband either, especially I’m watching a good film. When we first got married, it became a little joke in our house. When I start watching a film on TV, David will start talking, I pause the film, turn to him and say in my best “this-is-me-being-very-patient” voice, “are we going to have a problem here?”
Now, while this is just lighthearted, it’s still true that I don’t like my movie being interrupted- unless of course it’s actually something important that he wants to talk about. This made me think.

God Always Has Time For You
When another person is willing to set aside everything they’re doing; switch off the computer, turn down the tv sound, set aside the book they’re reading, turn to face you, and carefully, lovingly, pay attention to every word you say, you feel loved, don’t you?
This is exactly what God does!

God is surrounded by a myriad of heavenly hosts, singing worship to him, day and night. The sound in His throne room must be deafening! At the same time, He has billions, no make that trillions, of people talking to Him all at once. Yet your voice, even if it’s the tiniest whisper (actually even your thoughts!) reaches His ears and delights His heart. How does He do it? because He’s God – He’s all powerful, all present and incomprehensible to our tiny minds. It doesn’t really matter about the how’s – the truth is that you need never fear that God might say to you “I’m busy – are we going to have a problem here?”
Isaiah 65:24 tells us “I will answer them before they even call to me. While they are still talking about their needs, I will go ahead and answer their prayers!
And:
Jeremiah 29:12 “In those days when you pray, I will listen. If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me.”
Psalm 34:15,17
“The eyes of the Lord watch over those who do right; his ears are open to their cries for help. The Lord hears his people when they call to him for help. He rescues them from all their troubles.”

Your faith-filled prayers move God to change the world. See : James 5:17-18
Elijah was as human as we are, and yet when fhe prayed earnestly that no rain would fall, none fell for three and a half years! Then, when he prayed again, the sky sent down rain and the earth began to yield its crops.”

There are so many books and bible studies out there on prayer and “how to do it”. But we don’t need to study prayer – we don’t have to ”understand the mystery of prayer”. All prayer mean, according to the dictionary, is “talking to God” or even better “conversing with God” – because talking implies a monologue, whereas a conversation is two-way.

We can just come to our Father, as we are, and talk to Him, expecta response. I
He is The ONLY One in life that will truly always give you His undivided attention, 24/7 365 days of the year!
